1. You need the game
Diablo II: Lord of Destruction patched to 1.10 with the Eastern Sun 3.00 mod installed. If you already play Eastern Sun, you are set.

2. Download the D2ES installer
One file – D2ES-Setup. Run it and point it at your game folder if it does not find it.
3. What the installer does
It adds the D2ES patch with all fixes, HD display up to 1280×720, built-in maphack and the server address. If Microsoft Visual C++ (needed for HD) is missing, it offers to install it.
4. Start the game
Use the “D2ES” desktop shortcut. There is also “D2ES (800x600)” if HD does not start on your PC.
5. Account
Choose Battle.net and create a new account with “Create new account”. Accounts from other servers do not work here.
