Patch notes

Everything we changed compared to the original Eastern Sun 3.00.

New content

  • Uber Diablo: sell a total of 1000 Dragon Stones to vendors and Uber Diablo spawns. He hits for ~30,000 and has about 1.86 million life (up to ~8.36 million in a full game).
  • Annihilus (dropped by Uber Diablo): +5 to all skills, +100 to all attributes, +100% max life and mana, +50% experience. One per character.
  • New unique jewels: Sescheronya's Ember (−% enemy fire resistance) and Sescheronya's Frost (−% enemy cold resistance). They drop normally and can be rerolled in the cube.

Skills

  • Winter Fury and Meteor Shower no longer stun-lock – they hit less often but harder, total damage is the same.
  • Skill tooltips now show the real synergies – fixed on 91 skills across all classes.
  • Blessed Hammer, Bone Spear and Bone Spirit: higher damage. Mind Blast: +30% damage. Bone Spirit: no cast delay.
  • Leap Attack: synergy set to 30% and the tooltip is now correct.
  • Fixed: Battle Cry (wrong sign), Frenzy, Blood Golem, Conversion, Prayer, Taunt.
  • Fixed the Fire Arrow and Leap synergies.
  • Raise Skeleton and Raise Vampire: fixed the attack rating and defense bonuses.
  • Howl: its synergy now works and is listed in the tooltip.
  • Fixed tooltips: Time Stop, Eagle Eye, Earthquake, War Cry, Raise Vampire, Blade Shield, Fade, Hurricane.

Items, cube and drops

  • All cube recipes work for every class.
  • Unsocketing (Sa rune + Scroll of Town Portal + item): runes, gems and jewels now come back instead of being destroyed.
  • Cook Book drops 100% from Griswold, Coldworm, Endugu, Hephasto and Pindleskin (Nightmare and Hell).

World

  • The Jail waypoint is back in Act 1. The Cow Level waypoint is on the Act 4 tab (unlocks after killing the Cow King).

Server and stability

  • Big characters no longer lock up or crash the game on save or trade (the old 8 KB limit is gone).
  • Level 100 characters now update their look correctly on the character select screen.
  • Characters holding a Wakizashi now show up normally on the character select screen – before, the whole character vanished.
  • Our own server (PvPGN + D2GS) for Diablo II 1.10 with Eastern Sun, with a Windows 11 crash fixed.

Client and installer

  • One-click installer: the D2ES patch, HD up to 1280×720, built-in maphack and the server address.
  • If Visual C++ (needed for HD) is missing, the installer offers it. If HD does not start, use the “D2ES (800x600)” icon.
  • New title screen and menu: demon art, the Eastern Sun logo with D2ES and www.d2es.bg.
